Item Description

Photography

15 " x 12 " x .75"

David Lee Black is a photographer, sculptor artist and musician who exhibits nationally and internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri/Columbia. He was the recipient of the Tullyloughran Residency in County Clare, Ireland, with concentration in photography, sculpture and art history. Black's exhibition history includes over a dozen solo and forty group shows and has been published extensively. Residing in Wrentham, MA, Black also lends his personal philosophy and artistic skills to his work in expressive arts therapy, "Creating Your Vision" photography workshops, while also offering private artist coaching services such as music, installations, studio visits and portfolio reviews. What is the illusionary light that we bear witness to in our domestic settings? Perhaps it is the quiet dignity of our possessions inclining with reverence and respect.

This photograph was taken in the vanishing light at Tully, County Clare, Ireland in the home of the late great artist and David Lee Black's mentor, friend and partner in crime, David A. Lang.
