Item Description

A stay at the refurbished Tobias Lear House, where President Washington took tea in November of 1789, will immerse you in Portsmouth's rich history. It's like living in a museum house but with all the comforts of the 21st century.  Your two-night stay in this beautifully rejuvenated and furnished light-filled 18th-century home with views of the Piscataqua River and private rear garden, affords convenient access to Strawbery Banke and other historic houses as well as Prescott Park and downtown dining and shopping.

The Tobias-Lear House won a Preservation Acheivement Award in 2023.
