Item Description
"Plenty Of Fish In The Sea?" by Kiara Brown
Medium: Cyanotype Print On Wood
Size: 19" x 8"
Artist Statement:
I used cyanotype, a sun-powered photographic process, to create abstract ocean textures using a material now as common in our oceans as fish: plastic bags. The resulting patterns reflect tension between the natural and the artificial, just like the sea itself, increasingly shaped by human presence.
Artist Biography:
Kiara Brown is a Richmond, VA-based artist. She helps to produce everything from baseball games to symphony concerts. She has spent many summers in Marblehead with her family. In her free time, you can find her squeezing her garden into her apartment. Her two, three-legged cats are very pleased.
