Item Description
2-hour conservation consultation with textile conservator, Michele Pagan. Michele offers consultation and conservation on a range of textile items including, but not limited to, quilts, samplers, uniforms, wedding dresses, hooked rugs, and flags.
This consultation service is intended to work towards conservation of your textile object. Michele will view images (or the piece itself) and speak to you about the work that would need to be done to conserve your item and then prepare a proposal for the work. Depending on winning bidder's location, Michele may arrange to see the item in person, or view images that you send, at her discretion.
Michele practices her conservation in East Dorset, VT. She is a member of the American Institute for Conservation and was formerly a Research Associate at Dry Cleaning & Laundry Institute, and the Museum Conservation Institute, researching use of microfibers for fragile artifact surfaces.
Item Special Note
Amount is for consultation only, not actual conservation of the object. Should there be a balance from the consulation, it can be put towards conservation, as determined by the conservator. Consultation to be arranged before June 2026.
